TubeScript checks YouTube captions first, using manual captions when available and auto captions as the next best source. If a video has no usable captions, TubeScript falls back to AI audio transcription.
TubeScript can fall back to AI audio transcription when no usable YouTube captions exist. Caption extraction is faster, while AI transcription takes longer because it has to process the audio. Private, restricted, very long, or quota-limited videos can still fail.
Yes. TubeScript can extract available caption tracks in many languages and can use AI transcription as a fallback for videos without usable captions. We default to English when the language is ambiguous.
